Help Your Heart! (Cardiovascular Disease)

Cardiovascular Disease, the cause of heart attacks and strokes, is our leading killer!

You can do something about it!

The modifiable risk factors for cardiovascular disease include:

  • Being overweight or obese.
  • Smoking.
  • Eating a diet high in fat and/or sugar.
  • Leading a sedentary lifestyle.
  • High blood pressure.
  • High LDL (the “bad”) cholesterol.
  • High blood sugar.

Cardiovascular disease is REVERSIBLE if you get your total cholesterol down to around 150, without using statin drugs, but with a plant-based diet!
